Lagoa is a picturesque coastal town on the south coast of São Miguel Island.

Besides the fishing activity, you can visit some museums and a traditional pottery where you can see live the art of working the clay. It has excellent restaurants, bathing areas, especially the Municipal Swimming Pool complex, one of the best on the island, and fantastic hiking trails.

Lagoa is in the middle of the island and with easy access by car to all tourist spots on the island.
